Cristiano Ronaldo played his final World Cup

Not a data post. Just what it was like to be there for it.

It was bittersweet being there to see my favorite player in his last World Cup match ever, the player who made me love this sport as a kid.

Saw him tear up walking off that pitch and it hit different knowing that was it. His last one.

What gets me about him is the mentality. 41 years old, two decades in, still training and competing like a kid trying to make the team. He inspired me in every way of life. That's the standard I try to hold myself to: show up the same way when the result isn't guaranteed.
